The formula
Driveway area is length times width in metres. Multiply by the surface price per square metre. This covers the paving surface only, not base prep or grading.
Worked example
A 12 by 4 m asphalt overlay at $35 a square metre is 48 m², so the surface runs $1,680.00, before base prep and grading.
