CalcWright ("we," "us," "the CalcWright Team") runs calcwright.com, a set of free construction calculators. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using CalcWright, you agree to what's described here.
2. Information We Collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. There are two kinds:
Information you give us. If you fill out our contact form, we receive the name, email, and message you type. That's the only place we ask you for anything, and every field is your choice.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our analytics and hosting record some technical data when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and an approximate location based on your IP. Cookies (see below) help with this.
3. How We Use Information
- Run and improve the calculators and the site.
- Understand which tools people use so we know what to build next.
- Serve ads once Google AdSense is active on the site.
- Reply to messages you send through the contact form.
- Meet legal obligations and protect the site from abuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We use three types:
- Essential — remember your cookie-consent choice so the banner doesn't keep reappearing.

8. Data Retention
We keep analytics data for up to 26 months and contact-form messages for up to 12 months, then delete them unless we still need them for a legal reason.
9. Children's Privacy
CalcWright isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data (COPPA). If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we'll remove it.
10. Data Security
The site runs over HTTPS and we take reasonable steps to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
11. International Data Transfers
Our servers are in the United States. If you visit from another country, your data is processed in the US, and by using the site you acknowledge that.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the site grows or laws change. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Big changes will be noted on this page.
