How to use this calculator ↓

What your result means

Total is material plus labor for the floor. A garage epoxy runs $3 to $12 a square foot installed; industrial systems cost more for the thicker coats. Add about 10% for prep materials, since degreasing, etching, and crack repair are most of the work. A DIY kit for a 2-car garage is $200 to $500 if you skip the labor.

How to use this calculator

  1. Measure floor area.
  2. Get material quote ($2-6 per sq ft for kit).
  3. Get install labor quote ($2-6).
  4. Read material, labor, total.
  5. Add 10% for surface prep materials.

The formula

material = area * materialPerSqFt labor = area * laborPerSqFt total = material + labor

Material is the area times your material rate, labor is the area times the labor rate, and the two add up to the installed total.

Worked example

Say you've got a 500 sq ft floor at $3 a square foot for material and $4 for labor. That's $1,500 in material and $2,000 in labor, for $3,500 installed.
