Concrete Driveway Cost Calculator (Metric)
Enter your driveway size in metres and an installed price per square metre to estimate the cost of a concrete driveway.
What your result means
Total cost is the driveway area times your installed price per square metre, which already bundles concrete, labour, and finishing. Add 10 to 20% for excavation, rebar, control joints, and sealer, which the per-metre figure usually leaves out. Decorative finishes like stamped or coloured run higher.
How to use this calculator
- Measure driveway dimensions in metres.
- Get installed cost per square metre from 3 contractor quotes.
- Read area and total cost.
- Add 10–20% for excavation, rebar, control joints, sealer.
- Concrete driveways last 30+ years — worth the upfront cost.
The formula
Driveway area is length times width in metres. Multiply by your installed price per square metre for the total.
Worked example
A 12 by 4 m driveway at $90 a square metre installed is 48 m², so the pour runs $4,320.00. Add 10–20% for excavation, rebar, joints, and sealer.
Concrete driveway cost (installed, per m²)
| Finish | Installed cost per m² |
|---|---|

| Exposed aggregate | + ~30% |
| Stamped / coloured | + 50–100% |

- Decorative finishes (stamped, coloured) cost noticeably more.
